Alarm Master offers a very impressive set of features for managing personal and professional alarms on your Windows Mobile device. For such a powerful app, Alarm Master is very easy to use. Select 'New' from the 'Action' menu and you'll be able to configure an alarm in just a few seconds.
The great thing about Alarm Master is you can choose how heavily you want to customize each alarm. If you want, you can just enter a time and date in the 'Schedule' tab and click 'Done' to set the alarm. Of course, this app is designed for people who want more than just a ringing noise to wake them up.
With Alarm Master you can enter a name for the alarm (or pick from a long list of presets), add a note to describe in more detail what you have to do. Scheduling can be done on a one-off basis, or daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. Another cool thing you can do is to apply icons to your alarms, which show up next to the alarm entry. There are a lot to choose from, and it makes for a more visual, at-a-glance way of remembering what you've got coming up. Alarm Master includes a Today screen plug-in that shows you your next event, and the icon shows up here too.
In terms of alarm sounds, you'll be pleased to hear that Alarm Master lets you use MP3s and other audio files from your device. You can assign different tones to each different alarm. You also get a great deal of control over the playback time and snooze settings.
Alarm Master comes with a Desktop Companion that lets you create and edit alarms on your PC and import them into the Pocket PC app. Unfortunately, the program doesn't integrate with Outlook, which would have made it a much more effective productivity tool for many.
Overall, Alarm Master is an excellent reminder utility with bags of features to help you customize your alerts.
